TEXT:   JOHN 21:15-26

In this passage Peter’s boasting before the crucifixion that he loved Jesus more than others came up. He was trained by the three instructions of Jesus on how to perform in the ministry he would soon embark on. The first one “feed my Lambs” refers to the relationship with the newest converts in need of much tender care (v. 15); “Feed my sheep” refers to strong, mature because; feed my sheep of the third instruction refers to Jesus total and complete confidence in Peter in the assignment. We all need training and instruction in any areas of assignment whether spiritual or secular. The other disciples too were there and equally got instructed like Peter. It is the Holy Spirit that would be teaching Peter and the others on the work of the gospel as He does with us Christians in the Lord’s service now.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the required training through your spirit in any area of my call.
