TEXT: PSALM 91:1-2
This Psalm offers the godly that dwells in the shelter of the most High and unshakable and solid assurance of God’s protection and Guidance. A shelter may refer to the house of God, the presence of God or the church where believers gather, where the believers find a covering from all forms of evils. God promises the believers of security from the four threats in verses 5&6 in the darkness or at midday (what are they?). There is also safety and victory in the four menacing or poisonous beasts in verse 13-the lion, cobra, great lion and the serpent. (Discuss or meditate on the menace these beats can cause). If you are sincerely trusting God for your shelter i.e. for protection, guidance, victory, etc. the climatic and confirmed assurance in verses 14-16 shall be yours. This includes long life and salvation for all those who truly love and trust Him.
PRAYER: Lord, help to completely put my trust in you when I am afraid or helpless.
