THE LORD IS THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION

TEXT:               2 SAMUEL 22:35-51

David in continuous appreciation of the role of God in his life now dwells on His attributes and acts. God revealed His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel (Psa 103:7), but to David He showed both the His ways and acts. That is why he was always seeking to dwell in God’s presence, and counsel: no wonder God declared he was the man after His heart “who else is God, save the Lord” he declared in verse 32. Identify in verses 33-44 the many ways David received God’s instructions, felt His touch and experienced His empowerment to defeat and rout his enemies, some of these experiences were physical and others spiritual. Today, God’s provisions for His children’s victories in the battles of life are still available, discernable and deployable. More than in the days of David, we know more about the nature of our adversary (the devil and his agents)-and only in Christ we have an armour and armoury that is more than equal to the task (Eph 6:11-17). Our weapons may not be physical (carnal), but they are potent to give us victory (2Cor 10:4). But these victories are not for our vengeance: Vengeance belongs only to God (Rom 12:19). Amen

PRAYER: Father, please give me victory over all my enemies always, In Jesus name. Amen.
