TEXT:   JOHN 19:18-30

How good was the Friday we tagged to be “good Friday” to Jesus Christ? The day (Friday) was a day of molestation, a day of humiliation, a day of agony and sorrow, the day that Jesus persevered the wickedness of man, how good was that Friday. If you were the one, would you term it to be Good Friday? Jesus was nailed on the cross purposely because of his love for you and the goal set before Him (Heb 12:2).

Glory be to God, that he was able to accomplish his goal. When about given up, His ghost he said “it is finished” (v 30). That is what makes the Good Friday to be good- Hallelujah.

What do you understand by that statement “It is finished”?

My dear reader: no sweat, no sweet. The salvation you enjoyed today is the work of Jesus Christ He suffered not only sweat but His blood. Its only require your faith and repentance to enjoy what he suffered for- salvation.

PRAYER: Lord Almighty, help me to value your suffering on the cross for the sake of my salvation.
