TEXT:   LUKE 12:42-48

A steward or servant is responsible to his/her master and as such cannot decide on what to do except as directed by his/her master. When a steward obeys and carries out instructions as set down by his/her master he/she is considered faithful. If however, he/she fails to follow his/her master’s instructions, he/she is then seen as an evil or unfaithful steward. A faithful steward is a friend to his/her master while the unfaithful is considered an enemy. Come to think of it, why should a steward disobey his/her master? Jesus is our master and He said in John 15: 14 that we are His friend if we obey what He commands us. If really Christ is our only hope and master, we must strive to obey Him to the letter so that the cord of friendship between us will not cut. Do you obey God’s instruction as passed by your Spiritual Leader? Know it very clearly that until you do what is commanded by the Word, you cannot benefit anything from Him.
