TEXT: LUKE 12:16-21, 27-31
We human beings, particularly the Christians should always be mindful of God’s ownership of every possession we have including our lives, and that he is always in control of everything. The rich man in the parable would not have been labeled fool, if he had given proper appreciation to God in his increase in blessings. With the increase in blessings he should have thought of increase in tithes, offerings, works of charity and missions. Instead of giving thanks to God, he started planning as usual on selfishness and hoarding. The soul which he thought he had enough for was not being prepared for eternity. His action was in contradiction with Jesus injunction to store our treasures in heaven. Today, majority and Christian inclusive, amass wealth but comfortably neglecting their souls by not managing in godly way their wealth. Such ones are the typical rich fools.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, always put it in my mind to manage my possession according to your will
