TEXT:   1KINGS 8: 22-30

Solomon is proof that wisdom is better than knowledge. On this occasion; he presents the temple to God in prayer as God’s representative and the leader of the land. This shows it is a king who leads the people to God. Solomon committed the building into God’s hand; he gave back to God presenting the house and the conditions. He stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands towards heaven. He declares the supremacy of God over the temple. The dedication begins at the altar it demands a complete presentation of ourselves and every item of our lives. It keeps in mind the promise to God and it is conscious of every word spoken. It is a sincere prayer not ambiguous, it is a prayer it also involves the presentation of our good our substance what ‘I have built’ the true worth of this prayer is in the attention it attracts from above.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to present all I am and all I have, take my all my Lord I pour at your feet its treasure, take my heart it is thine own it shall be thy royal throne
