TRANSLATED INTO THE KINGDOM

TEXT:   COLOSSIANS 1:1-13

The first and only entrance we have into the kingdom begins here, it is not a movement or shifting, it is a translation. A translation presupposes a complete change. Paul was exhorting the church on the nature of our fellowship in this kingdom ‘and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ’ (1John 1:3b) and the beginning point of this fellowship begins with a translation, ‘that you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;’ (Eph 4:22) this manner of life shuts us out from the entrance into this kingdom, ‘And have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:’ (Col 3:10). Do I have this entrance? Have I been translated into the image of this new man into the kingdom?

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be translated from that former manner of life that shuts me out of the kingdom give me the new life that is fit for the kingdom in Jesus’ name, Amen
