TEXT: – GEN. 3:1-7
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: – I Pet. 5:8”
When God made all things, they were beautifully made. But sin entered the world to perverse God’s purpose for his creatures.
The devil has continually made attempts to use God’s creatures against one another. He presents God’s beautiful creatures to man in such a manner that affection is lavished on the creations rather than the Creator.
The devil (who was created to bring pleasure to God but was later chased out of that glorious position as a result of pride and insubordination) has a sole goal to make man rebel against God, so he consistently and persistently entices man with pleasures of life to draw man away from God. These come in form of money, luxuries, positions, influence, physical appearance, material possession, etc.
PRAYER: Father, please help me never to fall to the enticement of the devil, in Jesus’ name.
