TEXT: PSALM 89:23-34
The covenant and the promises of God for David continues in our today’s text. There are mighty kings on earth but among the kings recorded so far in the Bible, David was seen to be highest of the earthly kings, even God promised to make David his first born. In 2 Samuel 7:14, God says, that he will take the heir of David as a son. The people of Israel as a whole are called the son of God and the king is called the son of God. Jesus was identified as the Messianic heir of David. In Acts 13:33 and Rom. 1:4, Paul portrays the resurrection of Jesus as his coronation as the Davielic king. Jesus was referred to as the King of kings who is also the highest of the earthly kings. Accept him into your life now and see a glorious turn around.
PRAYER: Help me o Lord to recognize you as my king forever in Jesus name.
