TEXT: GENESIS 2:18-28.
For the creation work of God to be made complete, He had to create man and a woman in the inside of the man according to chapter one of Genesis, in later chapters; it is revealed to us how a woman was reproduced from a man in due course. He could have made her from the dust of the ground too just the way he made man. But God however chose to make her from the flesh and bone of the man. By so doing, God shows us that in marriage, man and woman are symbolically united as one, the same flesh and bone. This is a mystical union of the couple hearts and lives. Throughout the Bible, God treats this special partnership seriously. Therefore if you are married or planning to marry, you must make up your mind and be willing to keep the commitment which makes the two of you one. The goal in marriage should be more than friendship, it should be oneness.
PRAYER: O Lord, please restore broken marriages to oneness in Jesus name
