UMCA National Youth Fellowship UPDATE

UMCA National Youth

UMCA National Youth Week: July 22nd – 28th, 2024

The UMCA National Youth Week is scheduled to take place from July 22nd to 28th, 2024. This week is dedicated to the spiritual growth and development of youth in every local church. All UMCA Youth are encouraged to actively participate in this week of spiritual refreshment. The activities planned include talks, prayer meetings, Bible studies, teachings on stress management, and a love feast. Local churches are expected to allow their youth to lead these activities, culminating in the Sunday Thanksgiving service, which will be the final event of the week. We wish everyone an impactful and enriching Youth Week.

Annual Conference: August 15th – 18th, 2024

The UMCA National Youth Annual Conference will be held from August 15th to 18th, 2024, at Police Secondary School, Western Bypass, Minna, Niger State. This year’s conference is hosted by the Minna District, one of the oldest districts in UMCA, known for its experience in hosting various denominational programs and producing leaders who have served in various capacities. We anticipate a wonderful and fulfilling experience at this year’s conference.

Appointment of a New Youth Director

We are pleased to announce the official appointment of Senior Pastor Damilare David as the new Youth Director of the denomination. This decision follows a thorough consideration and screening process, with recommendations presented to and approved by the denomination’s leaders.

We extend our gratitude to the former Youth Director, Rev. Meshack Salawu, for his dedicated and sacrificial service. Rev. Salawu stepped down from his position upon his appointment as Chaplain of UMCATC Chapel, Ilorin. During the transition period, he continued to oversee youth affairs alongside the national executives of the Youth Fellowship. We pray for continued success and greater achievements for Rev. Meshack Salawu in his new role, and we also pray for the necessary wisdom and grace for Senior Pastor Damilare David as he takes on his new responsibilities.

Stay tuned for more updates.
