TEXT:      PSALMS 8

Today’s devotion is again powerful to our spiritual lives. This passage places man as the head of all God’s creation-the heavens including the Sun, Moon, and Stars (Gen 1:3, 14-18). And the earth including all living things (v 7, 8). It makes him next to God in power over all creations. Thus the first man was originally made higher than the angels, but by sin, he was brought very low and was subjected to Satan and death. Now man in his lessened estate (short of God’s glory, Rom 3:23) is below angels. Christ Himself was made lower for a moment to take man’s new low place and to raise him again to his original place higher than angels and a little lower than God. Every redeemed man or woman is already restored and raised up to that exalted position with Him (Rom 8:17-18). So God has put in charge every person that is redeemed in charge of everything He made on earth as man of dominion. Are you living in dominion or in defeat? Examine yourself and take your proper place, let God forever be honor, all praise to him for Christ’s work of salvation.
