TEXT: GENESIS 1:26-31.
Man was made last of all the creatures: this was both an honor and a favor to him. Man was to be a creature different from all that had been made. God forbid that by living to please the body and its desire, we should make ourselves like the animals that perish. God said, “Let us make man.” When man was made, he was made to glorify the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Into that great name are we baptized. And to that great entity comes our life. It is the soul of man that most importantly bears the image of God. Our first parents were thus holy, thus happy, having the image of God upon them before it became corrupted by sin. May the Lord renew this image of His upon our souls by his grace through Jesus our savior and redeemer.
PRAYER: create in me a clean heart, and renew your spirit within me in Jesus
