COLOSSIANS 1:24-29
God’s true servant rejoice when suffering for Christ and His church. Even though Paul was in jail as he wrote this letter, he was rejoicing. Paul had suffered much for the sake of the church, Christ’s body. Even though Paul had never met the Colossians (he only knows about them through the report of Epaphras), he has suffered for them also. We must learn something here. If we want to follow Christ; we must be ready to suffer for Him. Are we ready to suffer for Christ and His church? Not only that, will use be ready to rejoice when trouble and suffering come? Let us rely on Christ’s power, we can do nothing with our own strength, but with His power, we can do anything, be ready to suffer for Christ’s sake and you shall be a victor.
If we want to follow Christ; we must be ready to suffer for Him. Are we ready to suffer for Christ and His church?
PRAYER: Empower me O Lord to be ready to endure suffering for your sake in Jesus name.
