TEXT:   LUKE 23:1-5, 13 – 25

The description of Christ as “The King of kings and Lord of lords” is a pointer to the supremacy of our Lord to which even earthly kings. Though God, Christ surrender himself to be interrogated by mere men and maintained His Lordship. Pilate demonstrated the inconsistency in man by making friend with his enemy; Herod, just because of Jesus. He found nothing incriminating about Jesus, he wanted to free Him after chastising Him but unfortunately he succumbed to the wish of the people by releasing Jesus for them to be crucified. Christ actually came to reconcile man to God and since the blood of animals with which man had been seeking to pacify God cannot atone for his sins, Christ had to shed his precious blood on the cross. Will this ultimate price be in vain in your life? Will you nail Jesus to the cross the second time? He is our hope, accept him today.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I plead that you will accept me as I am and make me your own today. Amen.
