TEXT:   PROVERBS 11:1-15

Good and bad practices are found in people daily.  We as Christians must form the habits of good practices. From our passage of today, let us rate these as either “Good: or “Bad” (a) v.1 – fraud in business in various forms with the intention of more profit not caring for the feeling of the buyers (b) v2 – pride, forgetting it is God who gives and can take back (c) v.3 – holding firm the truth of God’s word instead of despising it (d) v.4 – relying too much on wealth (e) vv. 5-6 depending on self-righteousness, good deeds instead of on Christ (f) vv. 7-8 – The wicked ones have terrible end whereas the righteous are delivered e.g. Daniel and his accusers (g) v.9 – self-justification which is hypocrisy (h) v.10 – people rejoice when good people are in power but the down fall of the wicked brings joy (i) v.11 – sometimes the wicked enjoy at the expense of the righteous (j) vv.12-13 – the child of God are controlled by the Holy Spirit, exercise restraint in the use of tongue and reactions to issues (k) v.14 – it is good to follow godly advice only (l) v.15 – It is good to always stand for the truth and avoid the opposite.

PRAYER: Lord God, endow me with the ability to always have the conscience to do good practices.
