TEXT:      1SAMUEL 15:8-23

Let us start by saying this short but very powerful prayer: “May God never be sorry to have placed us where we are” Amen. Half obedience and disobedience are same in the sight of God. The instruction as contained in verse 3 of 1Samuel 15 was “… go and completely destroy the entire Amalek nation – men, women, babies, little children, oxen, sheep, camels, and donkeys ”for clarity of purpose, what should be destroyed were itemized, but unfortunately Saul and his men kept the best of everything that appealed to them. Oh God save us from covetousness, greed and unhealthy desire to be rich. Saul failed the test given to him by God.

The Bible records it that disobedience/rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness as worshiping idol! Saul was rejected as king for disobedience. Are you not disobedient to your parents, bosses at work, elderly ones, even your spiritual headers in the household of God? Repent because disobedience is very grievous in the sight of God.

PRAYER: Lord, help my disobedient spirit and turn me to your child by obeying you and other authority in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
