CHRIST’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS HIS PERSECUTORS

TEXT:   LUKE 23:33 – 43

Jesus came into the world in very humble way by allowing Himself to be born in a manger where goats and sheep are kept in spite of His majesty. None of us was born in such a place. He grew among men and demonstrated as a perfect example on holy living and absolute obedient to His Heavenly Father. He performed well everywhere he went, He surrender Himself to die a shameful death on the cross. Even with all He did, He was rejected but in order to fulfill the purpose of His coming, he healed his enemy as recorded in Luke 22:51 at His point of arrest. To cap it all, Jesus prayed for His enemies in verse 34 of our text today “Oh! What a friend, saviour, companion” if really we are Christ like, then we must love our enemies and pray for them like our Lord Jesus did.

PRAYER: Father, help me to love and pray for those who persecute me like Jesus did. Help me to forgive everyone who has offended me in one way of the other in Christ Name. Amen.
