TEXT:    GEN. 9:1-7

      It pleases God when a man obeys Him promptly and completely. God delighted Noah for his reverence and love for Him. A simple test of love and worship is the test of obedience. The extent of your obedience to God can be equated to the value and honour you have for God. Noah was determined to serve and reverence God. His devotion to God brought about serious declarations from the mouth of God.

God caused His increase and fruitfulness in the life of Noah and his sons. They enjoyed His protection and had all their provisions supplied in abundance.

God established a covenant with Noah and his descendants after him. It is a covenant of increase, fruitfulness and multiplication. A man’s action has resulted into all of these. It is a lesson here for us never to undermine decisions and acts. May we always be on the side of God.

PRAYER: Loving Father, let my life be pleasing to you, in Jesus’ name.
