TEXT: JOHN 21:1-3
Not quite long when Jesus was no more living permanently with the disciple after resurrection, some of them were ready to go back to the former work which were left to follow Jesus. Peter the outspoken among the disciples decided to go back fishing (v3) Having heard the statement from Peter some of the disciples also decided to follow him. Why did the rest decide to follow? May be because he was one of the outspoken among who was seen probably as leader among the disciples.
But throughout the night they couldn’t catch a single fish. There are two lessons to learn from the scene.
(1). As a leader, father, mother, we must be very careful on any decision taking
because our followers or children believes that our step taking as leader is always
right which is not so.
(2). What our leader(s) have committed into our hand should not be abandoned when
that leader is not around It is a rebellious act it is dangerous
(3). Throughout the night they did not catch anything because they have failed to do
what Christ has committed into their hands.
Does God, your parents, have hands on what you are doing?
Let us be very careful not to lay our hands on what is not approved by God Christ either your marriage and business .
PRAYER: Lord help me that I may not derail from what you have called me to do.
