TEXT:   PSALM 82

The children of Israel were regarded as God’s representatives and were expected to be judge of  the nations. The psalmist in verses 3 and 4 says “defend the poor and fatherless do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy” for a person to do justice to anybody such a person would know Christ. It is the spirit of God that guides along the right way in the dispensing of justice. The psalmist said the (Israelite) the chosen people were appointed by God failure give justice to the weak and reasons apart from idolatry that made them go to exile.

The saint way God gave the responsibility of justice to the Israelites so it with we Christians today whenever we are with position of authority. The highly placed and the lowly people should be threated equal while dispensing justice,

PRAYER:        Pray that God will grant our judges the spirit of fairness.
