TEXT: EXODUS 5:19-23
Although, the Lord had promised that he would deliver his people and had predicted that Pharaoh would resist letting them go. Moses did not know how this would happen exactly. His first encounter with Pharaoh seemed to have brought evil by making both Israel’s situation and Pharaoh’s disposition worse than before. The people felt pressured and complained to Pharaoh who multiplied their work and finally turned to Moses.
Perhaps as a Christian, you have felt caught in the middle at work, or in relationship in your family or church. Complaining or turning on the leadership does not solve the problem, turn to God and see what He (God) will be doing in this situation. Moses expected faster result and fewer problems. When God is at work: suffering setbacks and hardship may still occur when problem occurs this is teaching us patience and total trust in God despite the multiplication of the problems.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ intervene in my situation and deliver me from the hands of my taskmasters.
