TEXT:  PHILIPIANS 2:6-11

For Christ to fulfill His earthy ministry it becomes expedient for Him to empty Himself of His divine nature. Though He was God, He did not demand and cling to His right as God. He laid aside His mighty power and the glory. He became like any of us and humbled Himself (vs.7-8) we are called to follow in His footstep.

The fallen human nature we all inherited from Adam is the greatest challenges for man who wants to be like Jesus. When a man is in Christ, the old life is ended and a new life has begun. However, for the new life of Christ to be freely expressed, the old life must be emptied out. This must be done daily as our reasonable service unto God.

PRAYER   Lord, help me to empty myself of the old human nature.
