TEXT:  EPHESIANS 5:8-14

Light whether natural or man-made is very important in human lives. Without light of any form, our eyes cannot see anything. We pray that both our inner (spirit) and outside (physical) eyes will not be blind. Because of its importance the Bible describes or calls us light (Matt 5:14).

What are the works of light (1). It always shines in the dark (2). It reveals what has been hidden in the dark. (3) Without light our eyes cannot see, etc.

As the light shines in the dark of the world (Isa 60:1-2), so also as Christian, we should be light to lead people to Christ. Can people see Christ in you because you are light? Who is the light? He is Jesus Christ (John 1:4-5). You should possess the light so that you will not continue to walk in the dark but shine to the world because Christ the light is in you. Is He in you or you are only professing Him with your mouth? Examine yourself.

PRAYER: Lord, let me continue to live in you so that I may shine in the dark in my vicinity.
