TEXT: 1 JOHN 1:1-4
Sometimes, people say, “seeing is believing”, though it is not in all cases. But here John is testifying about what he had seen with his eyes and that which he had seen can be boldly explained. What or who is that, which he had seen? He had seen the person in who was life. What is this life? It is the person that was with the father and has appeared to us. This person that was with father- Jesus Christ he is the person that John was proclaiming. Not only had he seen him but had also fellowship with him, so that others too may have fellowship with them.
The purpose of John writing was to prevent his children from being deceived which may deprive them from having fellowship with Christ the son, the father and him. He also wanted them to have joy and that their joy may be complete.
In your fellowship as family, during devotion as church, men, women and youth do you always experience the presence of Christ in your midst?
It is very important for every believer to always have that experience in their lives. It is only those who have repented of their sins and believed in him that can have such experience. Have you?
PRAYER: Lord, help me to always have fellowship with you.
