TEXT:  1JOHN 2:1-6

In the political period, there is always somebody that people follow in a particular party. In any organization there is also a leader that people will always listen to. In religious circles, there are religious leaders that people follow, e.g. Sango, Oya, Buddha, Mohammed, and the Lord Jesus Christ. For anyone, to claim that he has a leader that he is following, such a person might have been obeying that leader. As a Christian to prove that you know Him and walking in Him you must be obeying His commands. A person claiming to know Him without obeying Him is a liar and the truth is not in him. For you to claim that you know God you must be obeying the commandments of the Lord Jesus. One of His commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself. You are also required to love God, with all your heart, mind and soul. Following Jesus Christ is to always obey him. Do you do that?

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always obey your commands so that following you will not be a problem.
